Bio
I'd like to write a few words about myself. I think this will enable us to feel connected on a more intimate level. Hopefully these few words will help you learn a little bit about me personally and why these hand made products are so special.
My name is Marta Orzechowska. I was born in a little city in Poland in a middle class family. My mom was a teacher and she always involved me in her work. I constantly helped her prepare her classroom projects. Of course, this kind of help required a lot of precision, imagination and artistic ability. I learned early on how to use my imagination to its fullest potential. My mother often took me to school with her. I would sit in the last row at the corner desk watching her and the kids. I loved being there and the best reward for me was to see the happiness on the students faces when they worked on the projects I helped create.
Around that time I started to paint a lot and worked much harder to develop my artistic abilities. It gave me so much fulfillment and pleasure. After a while painting wasn't enough. I was "hungry" for more, I wanted to create something functional. Since I had a modest upbringing, most of my dolls and teddy bears were made by me. I loved my dolls and had so much fun making clothes for my rag dolls and teddy bears from old clothes, broken jewelry, leftover rags, or any items I could find around the house leftover from my moms projects.
As the years passed, my projects shifted from my dolls and teddy bears to my own clothing and accessories. Being fashionable and extravagant became my signature. I always looked different than the other girls my age. I constantly received compliments about the clothing and accessories I wore from people I knew. I slowly started designing items for some family and friends. One day someone suggested that I should start to sell my designs and here I am today. The idea of Victoria Desemone was born.
Its a wonderful feeling to have the opportunity to share with you my ideas and passion for something I love so much. I can assure you that each piece ordered by you is made by me personally, and each one will have a piece of my heart.
Thanks to my boyfriend who takes taking care of the marketing and the operational side of the business, I have the ability and freedom to solely focus on my designs and customers. Please enjoy our website and my creations. Each week we will be adding new wonderful products.
